Beaches

Drive time: around 12 minutes from Estômbar.
Parking below: right at the foot of the access road.
Path up: from the car park, the path leads up to the beach via steps.
Tip: arrive early in the day to be sure of a parking spot below.

Arvad Wines

Beautifully situated on the banks of the River Arade, this contemporary winery offers fantastic tasting sessions. Our absolute favourite are the Arvad Sunset sessions on the veranda, enjoy live music and a fine glass of wine with a magical view across the vineyards as the sun goes down.

Morgado do Quintão

Address: Morgado do Quintão, 8400-423 Lagoa

One of the oldest and most iconic wine estates in the Algarve, established in 1810. Taste award-winning organic wines beneath a 2,000-year-old olive tree. A highlight not to be missed is their Wine, Oysters & Sunset experience, savour the golden light over the historic vineyards with a glass of sparkling wine and freshly shucked oysters.

Quinta dos Santos

Sítio dos Vales, 8400-031 Estômbar

One of the Algarve's most visited wine estates, set amid beautiful gardens and sculpture trails. Wide range of wines to taste, with tours that cover the vineyard, cellar, and the story behind the estate. Something for everyone — wine lovers and non-wine lovers alike.
